A Welcome from the Headteacher.
Stithians School is a small school serving a semi rural village community some 8 miles from Truro. We currently have 158 children on roll. Adjacent to the school is the village pre-school situated in the recently extended and refurbished village hall which, along with the school, serves the wider community of Stithians. It houses a public library, a computer suite and rooms for hire for a host of regular events for the community. The school and village hall are situated right at the heart of the village. The Parish Church and local shop are both nearby.
I have been in post for three years and along with a strong Senior Leadership Team and committed staff, have clear vision for the school and its provision. We actively invite and encourage both parents and children to support the school in improving so that the children are given the very best environment in which to develop and learn. We are a listening school and welcome suggestions to support us in moving the school forward.
The school benefits from being part of a cluster of local schools all of which contribute a range of expertise. Together we organise events and challenges to provide rich learning experiences for our children. This year we will be taking part in a Modern Foreign Languages Day.
I hope that you will find our website informative. If there is any additional information you would like please contact the school and we will be only too happy to help.
